3rd International Sunflower Seed and Oil Conference (ISSOC) 2019 : Mumbai

The event was hosted by the Solvent Extractors’ Association of India (SEA).
India hosted the program for the first time.
The last two edition were hosted by China and Ukraine.

5th Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA) Summit 2019 : Dushanbe, Tajikistan

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar attended this summit.
The CICA is a pan-Asia forum for enhancing cooperation and promoting peace, security and stability in Asia.
The theme of the 5th Summit is “Shared Vision for a Secure and More Prosperous CICA Region”
India is a member of the CICA since its inception and former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee had participated in the first CICA Summit held in 2002 in Almaty, Kazakhstan.

2nd Global Disability Summit : Buenos Aires, Argentina

The Summit aims to deliberate on issues across the world concerning empowerment and inclusion of Persons with Disabilities (PwDs) and to work out a mechanism for enabling them to live an independent and dignified life.
The 1st Global Disability Summit was held in London in July 2018

14th Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Summit : Mecca

Hosted by Saudi King Salman bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud.
The official agenda of meeting was to address ‘current issues in Muslim world’ and ‘recent developments in a number of OIC member states.

SCO Summit 2019 : Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan

Prime Minister Narendra Modi attended the summit.
This is the second Council of Heads of State (CHS) meeting for India, after it became member of SCO.
India and Pakistan became full members of the SCO in 2017.
Kyrgyzstan awarded Xi Jinping the Manas Order of the First Degree, the country’s highest national prize

10th Regional GRIHA Summit 2019: Nagpur

Theme: ‘Transformation strategies for built environment’.
GRIHA is an independent, non-profit society jointly set up by the Ministry of New and renewable energy and the energy and resources institute

G20 Summit : Japan

PM Modi attended the 14th G-20 Summit in Osaka, Japan, from June 28-29.
Theme “Human centered future society”
G-20 comprises Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, the European Union, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, South Korea, Turkey, the UK and the US.
BRICS is an association of 5 countries: Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa.

India’s largest women startup summit : Kochi

The Kerala Startup Mission (KSUM) hosted the Women Startup Summit, in association with the Indian Women Network floated by Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), at the Integrated Startup Complex, Kochi.

Third edition of Global Ayurveda Summit 2019 : Kochi, Kerala

Organised by: Confederation of Indian Industry (CII).
Theme : ‘Mainstreaming Ayurveda Startups, Innovation and Branding.
The aim is to create a global market place for Ayurveda, ₹50,000-crore industry by 2025.

Thirteenth Global Healthcare Summit : Hyderabad

Shri Venkaiah Naidu inaugurated the 13th edition of the annual Global Healthcare Summit(GHS).

5th Dharma-Dhamma conference : Rajgir, Bihar

The main aim of this conference was to address people about the terror, violence and global warming prevalent in the world.

22nd National Conference on e-Governance: Meghalaya

First for the north-eastern region to organise the knowledge sharing event.

International Conference ANGAN: New Delhi

An international conference and exhibition on building energy efficiency, ANGAN (Augumenting Nature By Green Affordable New-Habitat) was organised in New Delhi by the Bureau of Energy Efficiency, under the Ministry of Power.

1st conference on military medicine for the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) : Delhi

The conference was the first military co-operation event hosted by India, under the SCO Defence Co-operation Plan 2019-2020, after it became an SCO member-state in 2017.
The conference was conducted by the Indian Armed Forces

First International Conference on Sustainability Education (ICSE) : New Delhi

The conference was organized jointly by Mobius Foundation, The Climate Reality Project, India in partnership with UNESCO New Delhi office to explore ways to address the challenges halting the path of sustainable education.
The conference also saw the launch of ‘World Environment School (WESc)’, a first of its kind in India as well as in South Asia.
WESc has been set up in Coorg, Karnataka.

Conference on ‘One Nation One Tag – FASTag’ : New Delhi

The purpose of the conference was to roll out the process of having a unified electronic system across the country.
From 1st of December this year, toll collections on all National Highways will mandatorily be done through FASTag only.

41st DRDO Directors Conference : New Delhi

Chiefs of the three forces & DRDO Chairman G Satheesh Reddy were present
The discussion included efforts taken by DRDO to ensure technological advancement of the Indian forces to safeguard the country.

6th Edition of International Conference MASCRADE (Movement Against Smuggling and Counterfeit Trade) 2019 : New Delhi

The event was organised by FICCI CASCADE (Committee Against Smuggling and Counterfeiting Activities Destroying the Economy), a dedicated forum of FICCI.
The theme for MASCRADE 2019 was ‘Containing Counterfeiting, Smuggling and Piracy: A Winning Strategy’.

First World Youth Conference on Kindness : New Delhi

The conference has been organised by the UNESCO Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Education for Peace and Sustainable Development (MGIEP), Ministry of Human Resource Development.
Theme: ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam: Gandhi for the Contemporary World: Celebrating the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi’.

8th International Chefs’ Conference: New Delhi

Union Minister of Health Harsh Vardhan launched the ‘Trans Fat Free’ logo of FSSAI (Food Safety and Standards Authority of India)
Food companies that use trans-fat free fats/oil as well as do not have industrial trans-fat over 0.2g per 100g of food, in compliance with Food Safety and Standards (Advertising and Claims) Regulations, 2018 are eligible to display the logo.

CoP18 of CITES held : Geneva

The 18th Conference of the Parties (CoP18) of Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES) was recently held in Geneva, Switzerland.
Indian star tortoise was moved to CITES Appendix I.

45th G7 Summit : Biarritz, France

It was an informal meeting between France, the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, Japan, Italy and Canada as well as the European Union.
India was invited as a special guest in the summit.

The theme of the event is “Achieving Sustainable Development Goals”.
It was jointly organised by Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) and the Maldivian Parliament. IPU HQ- Geneva, Switzerland

UN conference on drugs, HIV/AIDS : Manipur

The state host the United Nations International Conference to discuss the issues related to drug menace, HIV/AIDS problems in the region.
Mizoram recorded the highest HIV prevalence rate in the country. It is followed by Manipur and Nagaland.

India’s First Helicopter Summit : Dehradun, Uttarakhand

Theme: Expanding connectivity through helicopters
The Summit was organised here jointly by the Civil Aviation Ministry, the state government and the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industries (FICCI)

UN Climate Action Summit 2019 : New York

UN 2019 Climate Summit theme – ‘Climate Action Summit 2019: A Race We Can Win. A Race We Must Win’
Purpose: to achieve the goals of the Paris Agreement and work to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by at least 45 percent by 2030, and a target of achieving net zero carbon emissions by 2050

First India-Caricom Leaders’ Summit : New York

During the summit, PM Modi announced USD 14 million grant for community development projects in the grouping of Caribbean Nations.
Another 150 million line of credit was announced for solar, renewable energy and climate change related projects in the Caricom.

India-China 2nd Informal Summit : Mamallapuram,Tamil Nadu

The 1st summit took place in Wuhan in the wake of the Doklam crisis in April, 2018.

9th Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) Intersessional Ministerial Meeting : Thailand

It will be held on November 4, 2019 in Bangkok.
Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal represented India in the meeting.

International Coffee Organization (ICO) (HQ-London) that functions under the United Nations.
