• Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit China on the 27th and 28th of this month for an informal summit meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping in the city of Wuhan.

• External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj made the announcement at a joint briefing with her Chinese counterpart Wang Yi in Beijing today.
• She said the informal summit will be an important occasion for the two sides to exchange views on bilateral and international matters with an objective to enhance mutual communication.
• Kailash Mansarovar Yatra through the Nathu La route will be resumed this year.
• China has assured India of resuming the sharing of hydro logical data of the Brahmaputra and Sutlej rivers during the current year.
• Mrs Swaraj discussed a host of bilateral issues and ways to step up the pace of high-level interactions to improve the relationship.
• President Ram Nath Kovind has approved the ordinance providing death penalty to those convicted of raping children below 12 years.
• The Union Cabinet had approved the Ordinance yesterday.
• The President has also promulgated the Fugitive Economic Offenders Ordinance 2018 that provides for confiscating properties of escapees.

• Rajya Sabha Chairman M Venkaiah Naidu today set in motion the process of consultation on the impeachment notice against Chief Justice of India Dipak Misra.
• Mr. Naidu has spoken to former Lok Sabha Secretary General, Subhash Kashyap, former Law Secretary PK Malhotra, former Legislative Secretary Sanjay Singh and senior officials of the Rajya Sabha Secretariat in this regard.

• Former Supreme Court Judge Sudarshan Reddy is likely to meet Mr. Naidu on the matter.
• Earlier, Mr Naidu rescheduled his visit outside Delhi and returned to the national capital as some of those he wanted to consult conveyed their availability today.
•On Friday, the Congress and six other Opposition parties had moved the impeachment notice against the Chief Justice of India accusing him of five counts of misbehavior and misusing authority.
•Union Minister for Minority Affairs Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi said that for the first time after Independence, a record number of more than 1 lakh 75 thousand people from the country will go to Haj this year.
• Mr Naqvi said, the Government has succeeded in getting India’s Haj quota increased for the second year.
•He said for the first time, Muslim women from India will go to Haj without a male companion.

•India is facing a huge talent crunch, which, in turn, is affecting entrepreneurship.
Well known reasons behind this talent crunch are
1. Obsolete education system
• still focuses on rote learning and does not encourage students to think independently
2. Unless we become an open society with an open mind, we will be in a position to help our youngsters become better entrepreneurs.
3. We need to link the education system with industry to develop the skills of young people and give them the right exposure so that they have the requisite knowledge to decide on their future careers.
4. India does not have a policy on apprenticeship, this needs to change.
5. The government has to be largest enabler for the entrepreneurial ecosystem. But many state
governments are failing to push through the Skills India and Start-up India programmed. This needs to change.
• MBA and engineers are in a race to become constables in the Mumbai police — India’s future depends on the young entrepreneurs.
• There are hundreds of small tech firms that are providing solutions to India’s multifarious problems, from transport to sanitation, and employing people.
• There are NGOs which are financing and training entrepreneurs.
