Have a look at the following sentences and rectify them if you find something incorrect

1. I am used to live in hot climates.
2. I used to dance when I was in college.
3. The camel is used to live without water for many days.
4. Do you have any doubt regarding the future of this boy who is used to work hard in all circumstances.
5. After going to Canada, he will get used to drive on the right side.

• USED TO  = past
• USE / USES TO = present …???

• USED TO  = simple past (positive sentences)
• USE TO  = simple past (interrogative or negative)

1. He used to come here as a child.
2. He did not used to come here as a child.
3. Did you used to come here as a child ?
4. He used not to come here as a child.
5. She used not to live as lavishly as she does now.
6. I did not used to sleep very well but then I started doing yoga and it really helps.

• Do you know the difference between
• “I used to drive on the right.” and
• “I am used to driving on the right.” ?
• “used to + V1 (Base Form i.e. without s/es/ies)”  and
• “be/get used to + _ing”
• may look similar but they have very different uses.

Question Tag for USED  TO

1. He used to swim in splash tank. Didn’t he ?

3. She used to be your boss. Didn’t she ?
4. My aunt did not use to be a vegetarian. Did she ?
