LADIS – Least Available Depth Information System Portal

  •  To ensure optimum use of National Waterways (NWs), the Inland Waterways Authority of India (IWAI) has launched a new portal LADIS – Least Available Depth Information System.
  • LADIS will ensure that real-time data on least available depths is disseminated for ship/barge and cargo owners so that they can undertake transportation on NWs in a more planned way.

SAMADHAN Portal

  • Ministry of Labour and Employment has launched SAMADHAN Portal on Pilot basis for conciliation, arbitration and adjudication of the Industrial Disputes (IDs) as defined in the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947 (ID Act).
  • SAMADHAN stands for Software Application for Monitoring And Disposal, Handling of Industrial Disputes.
  • Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA) has partnered with Microsoft India to use the platform Project Sangam of Microsoft on its Swachh Bharat eLearning Portal.
  • MoHUA is training more than 110,000 municipal functionaries on best sanitation practices across 4,000 plus cities in India

ENSURE Portal

 

  • Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare
  • It is developed by NABARD and operated under the Department of Animal Husbandry, Dairying & Fisheries.
  • Any subsidy wrt National Livestock Mission through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) goes directly to the beneficiary’s account
  • DEEP (Discovery of Efficient Electricity Price) Portal
  • It is a e-Bidding and e-Reverse auction portal for procurement of short term power by DISCOMs.
  • The web portal seeks to ensure seamless flow of power from seller to buyer. The portal is an initiative of the Ministry of Power with the objective to introduce uniformity and transparency in power procurement by the DISCOMs and at the same time promote competition in electricity sector.

Delhi Police

  • launched an e-learning portal NIPUN to impart training and provide up to date information to police officers.
  • Union Ministry of Tribal Affairs launched DBT Tribal web portal to streamline and expedite the process of releasing scholarship grants directly into bank accounts of beneficiary students.
  • e-Rozgar Samachar launched to spread awareness about job opportunities
  • The e-version of Rozgar Samachar has been launched by Union Minister of Information & Broadcasting Prakash Javadekar with a view to make aspirants aware of job opportunities in government sector including public sector enterprises.
  • The Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs launched ‘PaiSA‘ — a centralised electronic platform for processing interest subvention on bank loans to beneficiaries under Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana – National Urban Livelihoods Mission (DAY-NULM).
  • The Indian Railways unveiled a software that will help Railway Minister Piyush Goyal to keep a track of punctuality of trains as well as freight and passenger earnings – and much more – from anywhere in the country.
  • The ‘eDrishti’ software has been developed by the Centre for Railway Information System (CRIS) to help the Minister keep track of all information related to Indian Railways

Meghdoot app

  • Krishi Kisan’ mobile app
  • Union Minister for Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Narendra Singh Tomar launched ‘Krishi Kisan’ mobile app to help farmers take benefit of field demonstration of new farm technologies, seed hubs as well as weather advisories.
  • It will provide farmers the information of best demonstration of high-yielding crops and seeds in their nearby vicinity.

ROSHNI

  • AN APP DEVELOPED BY IIT ROPAR HELPS THE VISUALLY IMPAIRED RECOGNISE INDIAN CURRENCY NOTES
  • President Kovind launched ‘CRPF veer parivar mobile’ app to help families of martyrs
  • Law ministry launched Nyaya Bandhu, a tele law mobile application
  • There are a significant number of lawyers who would be interested to volunteer their time and money in providing their services as a pro bono, but may not be able to perform due to a lack of common platform to serve the unserved.
  •  The app is developed to solidify the pro bono culture in the country.
  • The Ministries of Earth Sciences and Agriculture have launched a mobile application named ‘Meghdoot’ to help farmers.
  •  The app will provide location, and crop and livestockspecific weather-based agro advisories to farmers in local languages.
  • Meghdoot is a joint initiative of the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) and Indian Council for Agriculture Research (ICAR)

DEET Application

  • Telangana government has launched application DEET (Digital Employment Exchange of Telangana) to improve the employment ecosystem in the State.
  • DEET is a digital database of 45,000 job vacancies in several companies and organisations.
  • It will allow free interaction between job seekers and job providers on the platform that is powered by AI and ML technologies.

C-Plan

  • A mobile application named ‘C-Plan’ has been launched by the Uttar Pradesh Police in Lucknow to keep tab on anti-social elements prevailing across the state, verify the received information and counter these criminal activities in time.
  • The department has identified 10 people in every village, known as Sambhrant-10, across the state who will inform about anti-social elements, simmering communal tensions or land disputes taking place in their respective villages through the app.

  • Union Minister for Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Narendra Singh Tomar launched ‘CHC Farm Machinery’ mobile App in New Delhi.
  • The Multi-lingual Mobile App CHC Farm Machinery is for farmers to hire tractors and other farm machineries.
  • Through this app the farmers can now select and order the required machinery at rates feasible for them from Custom Hiring Centers (CHC) located in radius of 50 Kms.

Sahyatri App

  • Launched by Union minister Nityanand Rai
  • The app will help the railway police in addressing complaints of passengers from across India and crime detection by integrating the criminal database online.

mHariyali

  • Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs recently launched the mobile app ‘mHariyali’ to promote plantation of trees.
  •  Through this app, people can upload photos of plantation done by them, which will be directly displayed @ epgc.gov.in.
  • The nodal officers can monitor the plantation through this app. The mobile app offers automatic geotagging of plants.

Bharatcraft Portal

  • Announced by – Nitin Gadkari
  • Government is set to launch an e-commerce portal named Bharat Craft for the benefit of MSME sector in India.
  • It would be on the lines of Alibaba and Amazon, will provide a platform for MSMEs to market and sell their products and in turn boost the sector.

Shagun Portal

  • Launched by – Human Resource Development (HRD) Ministry
  • Purpose – to enhance the accessibility of information relating to schools and to ensure a holistic approach to transform the education sector.
  • Websites of 1,200 Kendriya Vidyalayas, 600 Navodaya Vidyalayas, 18,000 other CBSE affiliated schools, 30 SCERTs and 19,000 organisations affiliated with the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) are integrated with Shagun
  • Report cards of 15 lakh schools all over the country will be available on the newly created junction.

 National Artificial Intelligence Resource Portal (NAIRP)

  • IIT Kharagpur has collaborated with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to develop the National Artificial Intelligence Resource Portal (NAIRP).
  • NAIRP is a resource portal to promote learning and development in the artificial intelligence (AI) and is aimed at making the search for AI learning resources simpler and more accessible to learners, practitioners and researchers in India.

Jan Soochna Portal-2019

  • Launched by Rajasthan to provide information about government authorities and departments to the public in the true spirit of the Right To Information (RTI) Act.
  • With this, Rajasthan has become the first state in India to launch a public information portal.
  • It will have information pertaining to 13 departments on a single platform.

Central Equipment Identity Register (CEIR)

  • Department of Telecommunications (DoT) unveiled a portal in Mumbai which will help mobile phone users trace their stolen or lost mobile phones.
  • The name of the project is called the Central Equipment Identity Register (CEIR).
  • It is undertaken by DoT for this purpose. This project is aimed at blocking of reported lost or stolen mobile phones across mobile networks, discouraging their theft, as well as facilitating in tracing of such phones

Preventive Vigilance (PV) portal

  • To promote vigilance awareness in the banking system, PNB introduced the first of its kind technology based solutions through Preventive Vigilance portal.
  • PV portal will facilitate all staff members to contribute towards arresting procedural lapses and unhealthy practices.

PRAKASH Portal

  • The government has launched a portal for better coordination among the ministries of power, coal and Indian Railways for coal supply to power plants
  • The Prakash portal – ‘Power Rail Koyla Availability through Supply Harmony’ – will enable all stakeholders to monitor coal right from mines to transportation.
  • It has been developed by NTPC

eDantseva website and mobile application

  • The first ever national digital platform on oral health information and knowledge dissemination
  • launched by – The All India Institute of Medical Sciences in collaboration with the Union Health Ministry

 GEMINI System

  • To avoid communication blackouts
  • “20 fishermen went missing in the aftermath of Cyclone Okchi in 2017”
  • GEMINI, a portable receiver linked to ISRO-satellites, to warn fishermen of danger Based on GAGAN
  • GEMINI is developed by The Indian National Centre for Ocean Information Services (INCOIS)

M-Aarogya mobile app

  • M-Aarogya mobile app is introduced by the Directorate of Medical and Health Services, Dadra and Nagar Haveli to avail various services like Booking appointments, Accessing past health records, Program & schemes, Upcoming camp and event, Feedback & Grievance, Government health facilities details, Add your family members, IEC, Get Emergency Help etc.

DAMINI App

  • IITM Pune also developed a Mobile App called “DAMINI” to give alerts on impending lightning activity over the area.
  •  It was released on the occasion of 57th Foundation Day Celebration at IITM.

  • Coimbatore city traffic police launched a mobile application ‘PoliceE-Eye’ for the public to report on traffic violations to police and to keep a check on the same.
  • The violations so filed can be photographed which will be sent to the police along with the location, time and date with the help of GPS.

Prana Raksha App

  • Prana Raksha web application was developed by the Chittoor police at Kuppam, Andhra Pradesh.
  • The app has been designed to save the lives of road accident victims and reach out to women in distress.
  • The Prana Raksha app, which works on the SoS and panic button features, would enable users to immediately contact the police.

Digicop App

  • Actor Vijay launched the mobile App ‘DigiCop’ of the Chennai police department at the Commissioner’s office.
  • Using the App, people can track the status of stolen two-wheelers and cell phones.

e-cocoon App

  • It is a mobile application launched by the Ministry of Textiles for quality certification in silkworm seed sector.
  • E app will help quality certification in silk worm sector. It will be used by the Seed Analysts and Seed Officers for product certification through real time reporting.
  • The silk production capacity of India is expected to increase to 38,500 tonnes by 2020 from the current level of 32,000 tonnes. Increasing production will help in reducing import as India is the second largest producer of silk after China
  • Election Commission of India developed cVIGIL, a mobile app, for the Lok Sabha elections 2019

  • ‘cVIGIL’ stands for ‘Vigilant Citizen’.
  • It was launched in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala.
  • Complaints regarding the model code of conduct and expenditure violations

Khelo India Mobile App

  • Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the Khelo India Mobile App at the Youth Parliament Festival in New Delhi.
  • Developed by the Sports Authority of India, the App helps create awareness about sports and fitness, especially among youngsters.

Bolo App

  • Google unveiled a new app called ‘Bolo’ that aims to help children in primary school learn to read in Hindi and English.
  •  The app uses Google’s speech recognition and text-to-speech technology.
  • The app features an animated character ‘Diya’, who encourages children to read stories

e-Dharti App

  • Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs launched a mobile app named e-Dharti App that provides access to the three main modules of Land & Development Office (L&DO)
  • The three modules are:
  1. Conversion of property from leasehold to freehold
  2. Substitution of names of legal heirs and
  3. Mutation in the name of purchaser etc

Observers App

  • The Election Commission launched a mobile application to help poll observers to submit reports timely.
  • Thousands of IAS, IPS and IRS officials, officials of Central services were deployed as observers in the upcoming Lok Sabha election 2019 and State Assembly elections.

Shiksha Vani App

  • Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has launched a new podcast app ‘Shiksha Vani’ that aims to disseminate crucial information to students and parents in a timely manner.
  • CBSE aims to provide up-to-date information regarding educational tools using this app so as to improve result outcomes.

Rajiv Gandhi Career Portal

  • Rajasthan launched ‘Rajiv Gandhi Career Portal’ for students from classes 9 to 12.
  • The portal aims to provide career guidance with information on entrance examinations, scholarships and employment-oriented courses.
  • The portal is developed with support from UNICEF

e-AUSHADHI Portal

  • Minister of State (IC) for AYUSH, Shripad Yesso Naik launched the e-AUSHADHI portal for online licensing of Ayurveda, Siddha, Unani and Homoeopathy drugs
  • The new e-portal is an acronym for Ayurveda, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy Automated Drug Help Initiative

Khanij Online Portal

  • Khanij Online is a portal of the Mineral Resources Department of the Chhattisgarh government.
  • The core objective of this project is to develop integrated and effective management of mines and minerals systems in the state
  • Chhattisgarh’s ‘Khanij online’ win National e-Governance Award

Yoga Locator App

  • The Ministry of AYUSH has launched a map-based location application named “Yoga Locator” to help people in locating yoga events, centres as well as certified yoga instructors within the preferred radius of their vicinity.

NAMAN App

  • North Central Railway launched the NCR Asset Milestones Application for Navigation (NAMAN) app which will allow passengers to track train’s location.
  • Aside from live tracking, passengers will also be able to access other information about Railways’ assets such as level crossings, signals, over bridges etc.

FLAIR Portal

  • The Reserve Bank of India has developed a portal Foreign Liabilities and Assets Information Reporting (FLAIR) system (https://flair.rbi.org.in) for Indian companies to report the Foreign Liabilities and Assets (FLA).

CISBI Portal

  • The Reserve Bank maintains the directory of all Banking Outlets/offices in India.
  • This directory is known as the “Master Office File” (MOF) system.
  • Until now the system was updated manually as banks reported the details of Banking Outlets via email.
  • Now to automate this process RBI has launched a portal Central Information System for Banking Infrastructure (CISBI) (https://cisbi.rbi.org.in) to replace the MOF system.

Womaniya on Government e Marketplace

  • Government e Marketplace [GeM] has launched “Womaniya on GeM”, an initiative to enable women entrepreneurs and women self-help groups [WSHGs] to sell handicrafts and handloom, accessories, jute and coir products, home décor and office furnishings, directly to various Government ministries, departments and institutions.
