Aapki Zameen Aapki Nigrani
- “Aapki Zameen Aapki Nigrani” (AZAN):
- Land Records Information System launched on October 22, 2021 by Lt Governor Shri Manoj Sinha.
- The initiative will facilitate easy online access to the Land Records System, thereby reducing manipulation of the Land Records and improving the efficiency of Revenue offices substantially.
- Under this system, the Public users can now search and view copies of the Scanned data online on:
- The one of its kind initiative, wherein citizens can login and visualize the status of their Land Records, Jamabandi, Girdawari, Mutation and Mussavi online without visiting a Patwari or any revenue office free of cost.
- This initiative is a part of the Digital India Land Records Modernization Programme (DILRMP).
Digital India Land Records Modernization Programme
- The DILRMP was previously known as the National Land Record Modernization Programme (NLRMP).
- It was launched in 2008 with the purpose to digitize and modernizing land records and developing a centralized land record management system.
- The programme aims to modernize management of land records, enhance transparency in the land records maintenance system, thus reducing scope of land/property disputes, and facilitate conclusive titles to immovable properties in the country.
JK-eCOP Mobile App
- Jammu and Kashmir Police have developed JK eCOP an android based Citizen-Centric Mobile Application to bring Jammu and Kashmir Police one step closer to the people.
- The App has been designed keeping in mind the needs of the public as well as the smooth functioning of the Police department.
- The J&K Police Mobile App “JK Ecop” offers an easy-to-use interface that enables the citizens to use a host of services ranging from registering a complaint to downloading a copy of FIR.
- A Citizen can make requests like obtaining a character certificate, employee verification, event performance, or tenant/PG verification through this app.
- Details about missing persons and unidentified dead bodies etc can also be obtained through this portal.
- Other services regarding the traffic police ranging from reporting a traffic violation to reporting an accident can also be done through this portal.
‘Sukoon’ Helpline
- In June 2021, J&K UT administration inaugurated Sukoon—a 24×7 Mental Health Helpline.

- The Toll Free helpline Number
- 1800-180-7191 shall offer guidance to persons or their well wishers who are experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, panic attack, suicidal thoughts, mental health emergency and pandemic induced psychologist stress.
- The helpline guides the caller to avail service of clinical psychologist, therapists, counsellors and psychiatrics and provide 24X7 one to one support, free and confidential services to those experiencing mental health issues.
‘Janbhagidari Empowerment’ Portal
- The Central Government launched the “Janbhagidari Empowerment” portal within the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir in Feb 2022.
- This portal provides detailed insights to people into nature, status as well as number of developmental works that are being executed in their areas.
- The portal was hosted on a particular server with higher bandwidth to supply straightforward and prepared accessibility to the general public.
- Bandwidth is a measurement of the amount of information that a particular computer network or Internet connection can send in a particular time.
- It is often measured in bits per second.
- This intervention comes amid concerns related to the slow speed or bandwidth issues related to the portal.
- After the shift of this portal on a different server, it has started to open quickly enough, and thus the whole experience of visiting the portal has improved.
- About 70 thousand people have accessed the portal until now.
- With the increase in bandwidth, the portal is likely to receive more hits in near future.
J&K Integrated With National Single Window System
- Jammu and Kashmir has become the first Union Territory to be integrated with the national single window system.
- The National Single Window System has been linked with the India Industrial Land Bank (IILB), which hosts 45 industrial parks of Jammu and Kashmir.
- The move will help investors to discover available land parcels in J&K and will eliminate the need for investors to visit multiple platforms to gather information and obtain clearances from different stakeholders.
What is National Single Window System?
- India’s National Single Window System is a digital platform that has been built as an advisory guide to help investors identify and apply for approvals as per their business requirements.
- Around 32 central departments and 14 states have been integrated on the system including the Corporate Affairs Ministry, Commerce Ministry, Civil Aviation Ministry, Ministry of Labour and Employment, Agriculture Ministry, Petroleum Ministry, Environment Ministry and Health Ministry.
- The National Single Window System was announced in the 2020 Union Budget Presentation.
- The integration of J&K’s single-window system with the NSWS is aligned with the central government’s broader strategy to open up J&K to investors outside the union territory.
‘Saath’ Initiative
- In Sept 2021, J&K administration had launched a Rural Enterprises Acceleration Programme titled ‘Saath’ for Self Help Group (SHG) women.
- The programme aims to transform the lives of women and make them independent and strong in social and financial aspects, by mentoring the women associated with SHGs and create market linkages of products created by these women.
Self Help Groups (SHGs)
- Self-Help Groups (SHGs) are informal associations of people who choose to come together to find ways to improve their living conditions.
- These are groups of 10-20 people in a locality formed for any social or economic purpose.
- Most of the SHGs are formed for the purpose of better financial security among its members.
- “Saath” initiative will help about 48000 SHGs in which about four lakh women are connected, in Jammu and Kashmir.
- It will focus on mentoring and creating market linkages of products that created by these women.
- Training will be provided to women across ten different sectors like Agriculture, Poultry, Animal Husbandry, handloom, Handicraft etc.
Nation Award to J&K Bank For SHGs
- Union Minister of Rural Development, recently honoured the Jammu and Kashmir Bank (J&K Bank) with the “National Award for Outstanding Performance for FY 2020-21” in recognition of its best performance in Self-Help Group Bank Linkage.
J&K Govt Signs MoU With New Zealand
- New Zealand in Feb 2022, pledged to help in doubling produce in the farming sector of J&K.
- The J&K government signed a Memorandum of Cooperation (MoC) “for transforming the sheep farming sector in the UT.
- The partnership is aimed at doubling produce in the next three years with substantial increment in quality of livestock products, wool production and introducing processing facilities and value addition to boost income and benefits to Jammu Kashmir.
