Madhya Pradesh launches India’s first Integrated Control and Command Center for its smart cities.

• The Madhya Pradesh government has launched the country’s first cloud- based Integrated Control and Command Centre (ICCC) for all seven of its smart cities.
• The seven smart cities in Madhya Pradesh under this scheme are Bhopal, Indore, Ujjain, Gwalior, Jabalpur, Satna, and Sagar.
• This project will enable the authorities to monitor the status of various smart civic amenities in real-time.
• Overall, 99 cities across the country have been selected under the center’s smart city mission (SCM).
• Madhya Pradesh government has asked the school students to answer their morning roll call with ‘Jai Hind’.
• The directive said the move will infuse the spirit of patriotism among the students.

24 April- The focus on tribal development is a much-needed one: Three of Madhya
Pradesh’s tribes — the Baiga, Bhariya and Sahariya — have been declared
‘backward’ by the Government of India, and they account for nearly 21 percent
of voters in the state.
The Eighth Regional 3R Forum in Asia and Pacific was held in Indore, Madhya Pradesh.
It was co-organized by Ministry of Housing and Affairs, Japan’s Environment Ministry, and United Nations Center for Regional Development (UNCRD).
The theme of this edition of forum was “Achieving Clean Water, Clean Land and Clean Air through 3R and Resource Efficiency– A 21st Century Vision for Asia-Pacific Communities”.
The Regional 3R Forum in Asia and Pacific was launched in 2009 in Tokyo, Japan with objective of integrating 3Rs– reduce, reuse and recycle  e-Way Bill system for Intra-State movement of goods was implemented from 25th April 2018 in the following States/ Union Territory:-

Project Signing: Government of India and World Bank Sign Agreement to Improve Rural Road Network in Madhya Pradesh $210 million loan.
The Project will cover 10,510 km stretch of rural roads in Madhya Pradesh that fall under the Chief Minister’s Gram Sadak Yojana (CMGSY) program.
Of this 10,000 km will be upgraded from existing gravel to bituminous surface roads, while 510 km of new roads will be built to the same bituminous surface standard.

Madhya Pradesh to produce organic fertilizer from human hair

The Madhya Pradesh environment department and NGO Sarthak will set up amino acid growth promoter plants in Indore, Bhopal, Jabalpur and Gwalior.
The Madhya Pradesh government will soon start production of amino acid from human hair and provide it to farmers at one-third of the market price to be used as organic fertilizer
Human hair is a good source of amino acid and it is estimated that 1 kg hair can produce
20 litres amino acid. The hair is heated up to 400 degree Celsius when it turns into
liquid, which is then mixed with water to prepare the solution. Like other fertilizer,
amino acid solution mixed with water is sprayed on plants.

Independent MLA from Madhya Pradesh’s Seoni district, Dinesh Rai ‘Munmun’ joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
Almost five years after his arrest and conviction for trespass, Pakistan government repatriated Madhya Pradesh’s runaway lad Jitendra Arjunwar through Wagah border Jitendra, who is from Seoni in MP, had drifted 25km inside Pakistan in search of water and was arrested on August 12, 2013.
