JOB PROFILE-

NTPC Recruitment Through GATE 2018 – National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC), one of India’s largest power companies has announced the recruitment of Engineering Executive Graduates through GATE. The application form for the NTPC recruitment through GATE 2018 was available from January 10. The last date to apply had been extended till February 7, 2018. Graduate engineering in Electrical, Mechanical, Instrumentation, Electronics and Mining engineers can apply for the NTPC recruitment through GATE 2018. Candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of the GATE 2018 scores. Once the GATE qualified candidates have been shortlisted, they will have to appear an online aptitude test which will be conducted by NTPC.

Eligibility Criteria for NTPC Recruitment 2018-

1.Nationality- Indian

2.Age Limit as on January 31, 2018

3.Upper age limit is 27 years for candidates belonging to general category.

4.Upper age limit is relaxed by five years for candidates belonging to schedule caste and Schedule tribe category.

5.Upper age limit is relaxed by three years for candidates belonging to OBC- NCL category.

6.Age limit is relaxed by ten years for PWD- General.

7.For PWD OBC age limit is relaxed by 13 years.

8.For PWD SC, ST candidates, age limit is relaxed by 15 years.

Academic Qualification

• Candidates must have passed the full time degree in engineering in the below given disciplines. They must have scored at least 65% marks in B.E/B.Tech/AMIE. The average of all the years is taken irrespective of any weight age that is given any university or institute.
• Final year students are also eligible to apply provided they meet the eligibility criteria at the time of joining. Such students must obtain at least 65% marks in their engineering degree.
• Graduation in Electrical , Electrical & Electronics, Electrical, Instrumentation &Control Power Systems & High Voltage Power Electronics, Power Engineering, Mechanical Engineering.
• Graduation in Mechanical Production, Industrial Engineering, Production and Industrial engineering, Thermal Mechanical & Automation, Power Engineering, Mining Engineering.
• Graduation in Mining Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering.
• Graduation in Electronics & Instrumentation, Instrumentation & Control, Electronic Engineering.
• Graduation in Electronics, Electronics &Telecommunication, Electronics & Power Power Electronics, Electronics & Communication, Electrical and Electronics.

Marks Required

Candidates belonging to the general category must score at least 65% marks, with an average of all the four years, Candidates belonging to ST, SC and PWD must score at least 55% marks in the qualifying exam.

Medical Requirement

• Candidates must meet the requisite health criteria that are laid down by NTPC.
• Candidates must be of sound health and they will have to undergo a medical examination which will be conducted by the medical board of NTPC. The decision of the board will be final.
