What is OeHMIS?

Odisha e-Hospital Management system launched ➢

The state government launched Odisha e-Hospital Management Information System (OeHMIS) in which paperwork would be reduced and diagnostic reports, prescription details and doctor’s advices would be found at the click of a mouse.
➢ The pilot project, launched by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, will get technical support of the Centre for the Development of Advanced Computing (CDAC).
➢ Under the OeHMIS, patients can be registered online. They can view and download their individual Electronic Health Records through a web portal or mobile app

Odisha police has gone digital from January 1, 2018

Out of 612 police stations across the state, 589 police stations have been equipped with the necessary
hardware and software for successful implementation of the project.

➢ Nearly six to seven manual registers at police station levels will be abolished from January 1, 2018 and all the records were maintained online to avoid duplicity of works
➢ CCTNS (Criminal Tracking and Networking System) is like core banking, all police stations will have to work online while registering cases, station diaries, case diaries and charge sheets.
➢ The investigating officers will also be able to use laptops, tabs and smart phones for accessing the database and generating reports easily.
➢ Through the use of technology, we hope that working of police stations will become more transparent and efficient

➢ Addressing industry chamber FICCI on the domestic production potential of
hydrocarbons, Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said the synthetic gas was expected
to be cheaper than natural gas.
➢ GAIL India is planning to set up a coal-to-synthetic gas plant in Odisha. This
synthetic gas is expected to be cheaper than natural gas
➢ Till now we have not been able to convert any coal to gas. GAIL India is in talks with
the Ministry of Fertiliser for the same as India has a poor record in this area of
developing alternative fuels as a way to cut oil imports

➢ In a new initiative, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik launched the ‘Ama Gaon, Ama Bikas’ (Our village, Our development) programme from the State Secretariat to reach out to people in rural areas and involve them in the development process
