OPERATION DURACHARI

Under an initiative called ‘Operation Durachari’, the Uttar Pradesh government said it will put up posters of people accused of sexual harassment and other crimes against women at famous road crossings across the state.
According to news agency ANI, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had issued directions to the state police telling them the same on Thursday.
The initiative would be undertaken under ‘Operation Durachari’ with an aiming to “reduce” crime against women in Uttar Pradesh

ANI quoted the state government as saying: “The CM has instructed the state police to put up posters of the accused of sexual harassment and other crimes against women at famous road crossings in the state, as part of ‘Operation Durachari’.”
