Since the inception of the scheme of Operation Greens implemented by Ministry of Food Processing Industries, six (6) value chain development projects have been sanctioned with total project cost of Rs.363.30 crore; Grant-in-aid of Rs.136.82 crore and private investment of Rs.226.48 crore.
खाद्य प्रसंस्करण उद्योग मंत्रालय द्वारा कार्यान्वित ऑपरेशन ग्रीन्स की योजना की स्थापना के बाद से, 363.30 करोड़ रुपये की कुल परियोजना लागत के साथ छह (6) मूल्य श्रृंखला विकास परियोजनाओं को मंजूरी दी गई है; 136.82 करोड़ रुपये की सहायता अनुदान और48 करोड़ रुपये का निजी निवेश।
In the budget speech of Union Budget 2018-19, “Operation Greens” was announced on the line of “Operation Flood”, with an outlay of Rs.500 crore to promote Farmer Producers Organizations, agri-logistics, processing facilities and professional management.
केंद्रीय बजट 2018-19 के बजट भाषण में, किसान उत्पादक संगठनों, कृषि-रसद, प्रसंस्करण सुविधाओं और पेशेवर प्रबंधन को बढ़ावा देने के लिए 500 करोड़ रुपये के परिव्यय के साथ, “ऑपरेशन फ्लड” की तर्ज पर “ऑपरेशन ग्रीन्स” की घोषणा की गई थी।

It was launched initially in 2018 by the then Finance Minister.
It is a price fixation scheme that aims to ensure farmers get the right price for the crops they produce.
इसे शुरुआत में 2018 में तत्कालीन वित्त मंत्री द्वारा लॉन्च किया गया था।
यह एक मूल्य निर्धारण योजना है जिसका उद्देश्य यह सुनिश्चित करना है कि किसानों को उनके द्वारा उत्पादित फसलों का सही मूल्य मिले।
The scheme initially focused on organized marketing of tomatoes, onions and potatoes by establishing connections between farmers and consumers.
यह योजना शुरू में किसानों और उपभोक्ताओं के बीच संबंध स्थापित करके टमाटर, प्याज और आलू के संगठित विपणन पर केंद्रित थी।
The Operation Greens aims to enhance the value realisation of TOP farmers by targeted interventions to strengthen TOP production clusters and their FPOs and linking/connecting them with the market.
ऑपरेशन ग्रीन्स का उद्देश्य टॉप उत्पादन समूहों और उनके एफपीओ को मजबूत करने और उन्हें बाजार से जोड़ने/जोड़ने के लिए लक्षित हस्तक्षेपों द्वारा टॉप किसानों के मूल्य प्राप्ति को बढ़ाना है।
FPOs are voluntary organizations controlled by their farmer-members who actively participate in setting their policies and making decisions.

It also aims to stabilise the price for producers and consumers by proper production planning in the TOP clusters and the introduction of dual-use varieties.

One of its objectives is to reduce post-harvest losses by the creation of farm gate infrastructure, development of suitable agro-logistics, creation of appropriate storage capacity linking consumption centres.
लक्षित समूहों के कई व्यक्ति ग्रामीण कारीगरों की श्रेणी से संबंधित हैं जो बाजार में बेहतर तकनीकों के आने के कारण हाशिए पर चले गए हैं।
Operation Greens also aims to bring an increase in food processing capacities and value addition in the TOP value chain with firm linkages with production clusters.
ऑपरेशन ग्रीन्स का उद्देश्य खाद्य प्रसंस्करण क्षमताओं में वृद्धि करना और उत्पादन समूहों के साथ मजबूत संबंधों के साथ शीर्ष मूल्य श्रृंखला में मूल्यवर्धन करना है।

About Operation Greens (TOP to TOTAL)

ऑपरेशन ग्रीन्स के बारे में (TOP टू TOTAL)

Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MoFPI) in June 2020 had extended the Operation Greens Scheme from Tomato, Onion and Potato (TOP) to all fruits & vegetables (TOTAL) for a period of six months on pilot basis as part of Aatmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan.
खाद्य प्रसंस्करण उद्योग मंत्रालय (MoFPI) ने जून 2020 में आत्मानिर्भर भारत अभियान के हिस्से के रूप में पायलट आधार पर छह महीने की अवधि के लिए टमाटर, प्याज और आलू (TOP) से ऑपरेशन ग्रीन्स योजना को सभी फलों और सब्जियों (TOTAL) तक बढ़ा दिया था।
The idea behind the Operation Greens scheme is to double the income of farmers by the end of 2022.
It was launched on the lines of Operation Flood and seeks to reiterate the success of milk in vegetables and fruits.

When the production of vegetable commodities increases sharply the prices crash because there is not enough modern storage capacity.

Therefore, the scheme seeks to solve the problem of storage capacity.

The scheme had a two-pronged strategy of price stabilisation measures:

Long Term Integrated value chain development projects.
