Under COMCASSA, USA has warned countries not to do any deal with Russia, whoever will do the deal with Russia, the USA will put sanction on that country.
Previously it was seen that China did deal with Russia and the USA have put sanction on China.
India has friendly relations with the USA.
The USA did not put sanctions on India after this deal.
This is a huge diplomatic victory for India.
