TNPSC Group 4 2023 also known as Combined Civil Service Examination-IV invites applications every year for direct recruitment against the vacancies in the various group 4 posts included in the Tamil Nadu Ministerial Service, Non-Technical Subordinate Service, Tamil Nadu Slum Clearance Board, Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly Secretariat Service, Tamil Nadu Secretariat Service, Tamil Nadu Judicial Ministerial Service and Tamil Nadu Housing Board Subordinate Service.

TNPSC Group 4 2023 Age Limit

The age limit for various posts is given below. Please note that the cut-off date will be as per the new notification.

Note
For all the above-mentioned posts following, age concessions are also applicable:

  • Persons With Benchmark Disability are eligible for age relaxation up to 10 years. 
  • Ex-Servicemen belonging to 
    • SC, SC(A), ST, MBCs/DCs, BC(OBCM)s, and BCMs have a maximum age limit of 55 years. 
    • “Others” have a maximum age limit of 50 years. 
  • Ex-Servicemen who have already been recruited to any class or service or category are not eligible for the above-mentioned age concession.

TNPSC Group 4 2023 Educational Qualification

Depending upon the type of post in TNPSC Group 4, TNPSC has prescribed a list of qualifications. Details of educational and technical qualification for each post is given below.

  • Candidate should have passed S.S.L.C Public Examination or its equivalent and he/she must be eligible for admission to Higher Secondary Courses (or) to College Courses
  • Candidate should have passed Government Technical Examination in Typewriting with the following minimum grade :
    • Senior Grade in Tamil and English (or) 
    • Senior Grade in Tamil and Junior Grade in English (or) 
    • Tamil Junior Grade and English Senior Grade. 
  • Note: Candidates with Senior grades in both Tamil and English will be preferred over the ones with Senior grades in Tamil and Junior grades in English. Similarly, Senior Grade in Tamil and Junior grade in English will be preferred over Junior Grade in Tamil and Senior Grade in Tamil. 
  • Store Keeper In Tamizhagam Guest House
  • Candidate should have passed S.S.L.C Public Examination or its equivalent and he/she must be eligible for admission to Higher Secondary Courses (or) to College Courses.
  • Candidate should have at least 2 years of experience in the maintenance of store accounts.
  • Junior Assistant In UHDB of Tamil Nadu
  • Candidate should have passed S.S.L.C Public Examination or its equivalent and he/she must be eligible for admission to Higher Secondary Courses (or) to College Courses.

TNPSC Group 4 2023 Exam Pattern

TNPSC Group 4 Exam consists of a single paper with Part-A and Part-B. The candidate will have to score a minimum qualifying mark of 40% (i.e., 60 Marks) in Part-A to be eligible for being evaluated for Part B of the answer sheets. However, the final merit list is prepared based on the total marks secured by a candidate in both Part-A and Part B.
