WBPSC Syllabus
West Bengal Public Service Commission will soon start the recruitment process for WBCS (Executive) and Other Services. WBPSC Civil Service Prelims 2023 and the schedule of the main are to be released soon by the board. Candidates who want to sit for WBPSC Exam must check WBPSC Eligibility Criteria before applying online for different posts. Graduates from any discipline from the recognized university/college can apply for any of these posts under WBPSC.
WBPSC Syllabus and Exam Pattern
For starting the preparing for WBPSC exam 2023, it is important to know the WBPSC Syllabus and exam pattern. Written tests and personality assessments will be used to shortlist candidates. The test is divided into two phases: the preliminary and the main exams. Candidates who pass the preliminary round will be able to take the Mains exam. The WBCS preliminary syllabus and mains syllabus must be taken into consideration when candidates apply for the WBPSC recruitment in 2023.

WBPSC Mains Syllabus 2023
Candidates who clear the Prelims, need to get ready for the Mains exam. The candidates have to sit for a total of 8 papers for mains. The syllabus for mains included in the compulsory papers is mentioned below:

WBPSC Optional Subjects 2023
Candidates who cleared prelims are supposed to give mains papers and have chosen one optional subject while applying for mains. Candidates will have to write the answer to two optional papers based on the chosen optional subject. Each paper consists of 200 marks. WBPSC Interview
Candidates are invited to the “Interview” Round if they pass the WBCS Mains Exam. A Board that is chosen by the WBCS conducts interviews with candidates. The primary fields that the interviewer verified are listed below.
- A board will interview the candidate after reviewing the application form information the candidate provided regarding their job and interests.
- The aim of the interview is for a panel of knowledgeable and objective observers to evaluate the candidate’s personal suitability for a job in the state services.
- In addition to their scholastic studies, candidates need to be current on both domestic and international news.
- Interviews purpose is to get acquainted with candidates analytical ability of the candidates.
